Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience with Technical Program Management on cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in technical infrastructure, data centers, networking, cloud computing, supply or capacity planning, fulfillment, inventory management and/or procurement.
  • Experience working with data analytics tools and reporting platforms.
  • Experience with project management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Financial planning experience, including budget tracking and ROI.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Sourcing, and Legal.
  • Solid understanding of IP networking, network devices, and common topologies.

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate the work of Google’s Global Network Infrastructure team to proactively and re-actively put in place solutions that address network availability and latency risks across the network. including: WAN Core, Regional Core, Internet Edge and Customer Services Edge.
  • Monitor key network health metrics across Google global production network.
  • Identify areas that require resolution and coordination of efforts to mitigate them (e.g., capacity additions, repair prioritizations, application tuning)
  • Report regularly on network health performance to senior stakeholders and to the broader organization.
  • Define and implement processes, metrics and tooling requirements to implement faster and more automatic execution of network health monitoring, reporting and mitigation.
