Since I was a child, I have wanted to record my own music. I can remember writing songs in my backyard and really believing that one day the whole world would hear them. Sure, they all sounded like rejected Backstreet Boy singles, but that wasn’t the point. It was clear to me and to my family (there poor ears) that music was the passion I was going to pour myself into, and I’m so happy I have had so many opportunities to do just that over the last 28 years of my life!

Over the last few months, it has been incredibly clear to me that God wants me to create this EP right now. The timing seemed so wrong and so right at the same time! Why now God, it’s craziness? Are you sure you picked the right person? But God kept gently affirming to me that this was indeed the time he wanted this to play out and that I was the person He was choosing.

He led me to Jordan and Jonny Maillet from Grace Church. An extremely talented duo that I instantly clicked with when we wrote our first song together. They gave me the confidence I needed to get out there and ask for this support because they felt too that this was God’s calling on my life! So, here we are!

The Impact:

So many people I’ve spoken with over the last few months have been struggling. Struggling to find faith, to overcome depression and anxiety, to make peace with loved ones, to believe this world is still good, and to believe God is really in control of a world that seems to be falling apart. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t experiencing some of these struggles myself. But…I also know the truth. The truth that Jesus is still here, He’s good, and He loves you just as you are. I know that this album is here to spread that truth. To affirm it.

Over the past few month’s I’ve felt a closeness to the Lord that I don’t think I’ve ever experienced to such a degree. I know that the time to do this is now. I am confident that this is what He wants for my life and has always wanted. He was just waiting for me to get out of the way to end up at this destination!

Whether you are a believer, non-believer, mime, clown, or CEO of the Hershey’s empire, this album is for YOU. It exists to bring you comfort, love, acceptance, peace, and joy. This album’s purpose is to bring us all together and to give you hope for a future.

The Need and the Perks:

The goal is to be able to have a 4 track EP professionally produced, recorded, mixed, mastered, and ready for streaming. Additionally, marketing, merchandise, photography, music videos, copyrighting, branding, and hard copies of the album have all been added into the mix to determine the final cost of the project.

Every donation will be directly poured into the production of this EP and the projects that accompany it. So, pray, share, encourage, and contribute where you can! Every bit helps!

Additionally, this album will have a release night, should it be fully funded! Since the Rona has put a damper in so many plans for musicians, the release concert could be an in person gathering following all current COVID precautions or a livestreamed event! Either way, I believe the presence of God will be filling whatever circumstance we find ourselves in!

Lastly, perks will be given to those who choose to donate a specific amount to the EP! Yay for free stuff!

The Challenges:

The biggest challenge will be if the goal to record all four songs on the EP isn’t reached within the 30 day timeframe. In this case, all of what is accrued will go directly into recording what can be made. If that means two songs – great, if that means a full-length album – amazing!

However, I’m coming into this believing that God is ready to move. The material created for this album is honest, full of truth, God’s promises, and hope. I believe with my entire heart that that’s not something the Lord is interested in stopping!

The Support:

Those of you who know me know I don’t like asking for help. Letting go of control and asking for assistance is scary and vulnerable! BUT, I know Jesus’ hand is in this. I can trust that whatever comes of this will be for HIS glory and that gives me the confidence to ask for your support!
