"The FCC wants to destroy net neutrality and give big cable companies control over what we see and do online. If they get their way, they’ll allow widespread throttling, blocking, censorship, and extra fees. On July 12th, the Internet will come together to stop them." This has already been seen with the throttling affecting Netflix recently. If the FCC continues down its current path. You could have to pay more for sites like Youtube and Netflix. Sites that compete with ISPs cable services.
As it stands right now there over 119 large websites that have joined. Most notable internet giants include Amazon, Netflix, Pornhub, and Reddit are already committed to joining. But if THE internet giant joined in, over 3.5 billion daily searches would be informed of what is going on and the possible breach of our internet freedoms. Not only that, but it would send a message to the FCC like no other.
